Terms And Conditions for bookings

SECTION 1 - Cancellations + Rescheduling for one-on-one classes and public group classes
Due to the high demand and limited number of spaces for our classes and teachers, all bookings are final and strictly non-refundable. We are only able to reschedule your class pending you adhere to our rescheduling policy below:

- Rescheduling with more than 7 days notice will incur no additional charges.

- Rescheduling with less than 7 days notice will result in a rescheduling fee of $50.

- Rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice will result in 100% loss of booking without the option of rescheduling or obtaining a refund.

If your booking is eligible to be rescheduled, you will be offered a series of dates and times to choose from. If none of the dates/times are suitable, your booking will be changed to credit within our system.  All credits are valid for 6 months from date of purchase. It is your responsibility to spend the credit before the expiry date. Expired credit will not be accepted as form of payment.
Cancellations + Rescheduling for Private Events (Hens Parties, Corporate & Birthdays etc)
Due to the high demand and limited number of spaces for our classes and teachers, all bookings are final and strictly non-refundable. We are only able to reschedule your class pending you adhere to our rescheduling policy below:

- Rescheduling with more than 14 days notice will incur no additional charges.

- Rescheduling with less than 14 days notice will result in a rescheduling fee of 20% of the booking value.

- Rescheduling with less than 7 days notice will result in 100% loss of booking unless we are able to fill the slot with a booking of similar value.

If your booking is eligible to be rescheduled, you will be offered a series of dates and times to choose from. If none of the dates/times are suitable, you will be provided with one gift card with the total value of the booking. Gift Cards are valid for 3 years from date of purchase. It is your responsibility to redeem the voucher code within the given timeframe. Expired voucher codes will not be accepted as form of payment.

Final numbers will need to be shared with us 16-17 days prior to the event for a payment link to be created and paid 14 days prior to the event. Once the final payment has been made, we are unable to reduce the number of guests or partially refund if the guest count is reduced.
Late Arrivals + No Shows
Our classes will begin on time. Failure to arrive on time may result in the teacher refusing entry and you losing your booking.

Failure to show up to your class will result in 100% loss of booking with no option to reschedule or obtaining a refund.

If you are unable to attend your class, you are welcome to gift your booking to a friend or family member who can take your place in the session. There is no additional cost to changing the name on the booking.
Minimum Numbers
Our group classes require a minimum number of participants to go ahead. In the unlikely event our group classes do not meet the minimum numbers, a member of our team will be in touch 24-48 hours prior to the start time to reschedule your booking.
Section 2 - Gift Cards
Gift cards are strictly non refundable once the purchase has been made. E-gift cards can only be redeemed via our website, by booking your class with us over the phone, or directly at our venue. Hard-copy gift cards can only be redeemed via email or phone.

Gift cards are valid for three years from the date of purchase. Each gift card clearly states the expiry date and will not be accepted once the expiry date has passed.

Your Gift Card may only be used to make purchases up to the initial Gift Card value or the Remaining Gift Card Value. If you wish to make a purchase for an amount that exceeds the Gift Card value or the Remaining Gift Card Value, you must pay the excess using another payment method.

Gift cards can be used as payment towards a private class, group class, or selected items in our shop.

Gift Cards are not legal tender, account cards, credit or debit cards or securities. You cannot obtain any cash advance with your Gift Card, redeem your Gift Card for cash or receive any portion of the Remaining Gift Card Value in cash.
Section 3 - Credit
If you are provided with credit for the value of your class, the credit will be added to your booking within our booking system. Class credits are valid for 6 months and must be redeemed within this timeframe. Credits will not be accepted as form of payment once the 6 month timeframe has passed.

If you have purchased a sewing machine from us and received a $50 sewing class credit, this credit will have an expiry of 3 months. This credit will only be redeemable on group sewing classes when you bring your machine to the class with you.

Credits are not legal tender, account cards, credit or debit cards or securities. You cannot obtain any cash advance with your credit, redeem your credit for cash or receive any portion of the remaining credit value in cash. Credits cannot be transferred onto a gift card.
Section 4 - Discontinued Classes
We reserve the right to discontinue a class at any time. If you have previously rescheduled a class that is now discontinued, you will be provided with credit to use towards another class.

If you have received a gift card for a class that is now discontinued, you may use the value towards another class.
Section 5 - Booking for someone else
When booking a class for someone other than yourself, it is your responsibility to make them aware of these policies.
Section 6 - Bringing your own machine to a sewing class
Bringing your own machine to a group class will not be allowed. Bringing a sewing machine to a private class is accepted, however, the machine must be brand new (purchased in the last 12 months), or been serviced by a Sewing Machine Technician in the last 12 months.

You agree to release the business, its staff and/or contractors from any liability for damages to the sewing machine during or after the class.

You agree to provide all necessary information about the sewing machine, including any known issues, to the business before the class begins.

You agree to bring all necessary parts, attachments, and accessories for the sewing machine. Forgetting any crucial accessories or parts may result in having to complete the session on one of our machines (e.g. if you forget the foot pedal).

You agree to take your sewing machine home with you at the end of your session, customers will not be permitted to leave their sewing machines in the studio for their next session.

Sydney Creative will not offer any repairs services for machines purchased elsewhere. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the sewing machine is in good working condition before the class starts.
Section 7 - Accessibility & Age Restriction
Unfortunately our venue is not wheelchair accessible due to the steps leading into the venue. We're unable to accommodate walkers due to the narrow nature of the venue, we're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Most of our classes are restricted to 18+ due to insurance purposes. Please check each class page for the age restriction, it can be found under the "additional information" section.
