Hey there! I'm Sophie, the creative force behind Sydney Creative.
Originally from the picturesque landscapes of Wales, UK, I've always had two steadfast dreams: diving headfirst into the world of creative arts and running my own business.
Back in 2012, I proudly graduated with a BA (hons) Textile Design degree. Eager to explore the vast wonders beyond graduation, I embarked on a journey that eventually led me to the sun-kissed shores of Sydney. Little did I know that this new chapter would shape the trajectory of my creative endeavours.
My humble beginnings involved sewing and crafting unique items that found their way to market stalls on weekends. But as I delved deeper into my passion, I discovered the joy of sharing my skills with others. Thus, Sydney Creative was born—a vibrant haven where artistry knows no bounds.
I often find myself wearing a perpetual grin because, truth be told, it doesn't feel like work at all. Witnessing the sense of accomplishment and fulfilment that creativity brings to others is a humbling experience.
When I'm not immersed in the pink world of Sydney Creative, I embrace my introverted side. After all, running classes requires a fair share of communication. So, on those rare days off, you'll find me as a homebody—recharging on my balcony, captivated by true crime podcasts, pampering my cat, and walking Drummoyne's Bay Run.
If you've got a session booked with us at the studio or thinking about visiting in the future, I look forward to meeting you.
