Creative Teens Sewing Program - School Holidays

Join our exciting three day Teens Sewing Program during the school holidays and explore the world of sewing!

Next Program: April 17th, 18th & 19th

Over the course of three days, the group will learn essential sewing skills and create unique handmade items. Our teachers hold qualifications in Textile and Fashion design and will pass on their knowledge and expertise. We pride ourselves in our sewing classes and have developed this program to teach the next generation how to sew.

Each session will start at 9:30am and finish at 3:30pm.

To book, click "check availability" and select the date. The system will then ask you to select the next two consecutive days.

Day 1 - The group will learn how to use a sewing machine. They will design their own fabric using dye pens and then turn their fabric into a tote bag. This is a great way to master sewing straight lines.

Day 2 - On this day, the teens will be introduced to a commercial sewing pattern to make a pair of shorts to fit their hip measurement.

Day 3- By this day, the group will be ready for a more challenging project. We'll guide them through making a zippered pencil case with boxed corners.

All materials and sewing machine hire is included in the price. If your teen would prefer to bring their own machine, please ensure it was either purchased in the last 12 months or has been serviced in the last 12 months.
