We’ve been running our sewing classes in Sydney since 2019, helping beginners and intermediate sewists feel more confident behind a sewing machine.

Our studio is located in Redfern, just a 4-minute walk from Redfern Station and Waterloo Metro.

If you’re brand new to sewing, our Sewing for Beginners class is the perfect place to start and learn the basics like threading, winding the bobbin, using a sewing machine, and sewing straight lines. If you’re ready to go further, we also run intro to garment making classes, hemming classes, dressmaking classes, and other private sessions that build your skills step by step.

Not everyone learns the same way, so you can choose between group workshops or private sewing classes where the focus is completely on your own project. Either way, you’ll be supported by friendly teachers who know how to explain things clearly and make sure no one feels out of place.

All of our sewing classes in Sydney are hands-on and inclusive. We provide the sewing machines, tools, and in some classes, fabric is included too – you just need to show up, and you’ll head home with something you made yourself.

Our beginner workshops are perfect if you’ve never touched a sewing machine before, or if it’s been years since you last sewed and you’d like a refresher. They’re also a great fit if you’ve got some experience but want to progress to garment making with guidance. Our group workshops are clearly labeled from Level 1 to Level 4, so you always know where to start and how to progress.
