Our textured painting class puts a fresh spin on the classic paint and sip.

We’re proud to be the original studio in Sydney offering Textured Painting classes, a workshop that remains one of our most popular experiences.

Rather than following a step-by-step copy of the teacher’s artwork, you’ll learn how to create beautiful textured effects with a palette knife, and then be free to design your own piece. Whether you want to create a petal-style painting, abstract waves, or something entirely unique, this class is all about having fun and exploring your creativity.

You’ll be guided through the techniques, colours, and layering styles, but there’s no pressure to stick to a template, giving you more time to enjoy the process, relax with your friends, and sip your favourite drink.

All materials are provided and it’s fully BYO-friendly, so you can bring along your favourite wine, beer, or bubbles.

What you'll learn

How to paint an ombre background on your canvas.
Learn how to use a palette knife to create textured petal effects (or other designs).
Practice your petal shapes first, before applying them to the canvas.
We’ll take you through how to layer and make flowers, but it’s totally up to you what to paint
Techniques for creating a polished, finished look

Who can come

This class is open to everyone aged 18+
No previous experience required
Ideal for individuals, couples, and groups.
A lot of people come solo, so if you’re thinking about booking on your own, chances are you won’t be the only one. Our teachers are warm, friendly, and always make sure solo guests feel welcome and supported.
Everyone is welcome in our inclusive space.

Good to know

Acrylic paints stain fabric, so we recommend wearing something you don’t mind getting messy. Aprons are provided, but it’s always better to be safe!
Your textured painting will take 1–3 days to fully dry, depending on the thickness of the texture.
You’re welcome to leave your artwork at the studio to dry and collect it another day (just let us know on the day).
If you prefer to take it home straight after class, please handle it with care – and if you’re driving, we recommend bringing paper or plastic bags to line the boot of your car.
This class runs for 2 hours, if you’re driving, avoid 1P or 2P zones as we won’t be able to pause the class for you to move your car. Not sure where to park? Click here for our parking tips.
