Step into our vibrant studio in the heart of Redfern for our much-loved Candle Making class. This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners.
In this two-hour session, you’ll learn to create a premium double-wicked candle using our beautiful coconut-soy wax blend.
You’ll customise your candle by selecting your preferred jar colour, and blend two fragrance oils together, creating a scent that’s uniquely yours.
Our experienced instructors will guide you through each step, from vessel preparation and wick placement to understanding the science behind achieving the perfect candle. You’ll also receive a worksheet to jot down notes and tips throughout the class.
Please note, to ensure the best quality, we recommend leaving your candle at the studio to set properly. If you must to take it home the same day, please inform the teacher upon arrival.

What you'll learn
- Learn to prepare your glass jar for the wax.
- Discover the importance of choosing and securing the correct wick size for an even burn.
- Learn more about coconut soy and why we love it.
- Blend your own fragrance oils under guidance to create your custom scent.
- Gain insight into achieving the perfect cold and hot throw for maximum scent release.
- Candle making is a science, learn how to prepare your jar for the wax, when to mix in the fragrance, and how to monitor the temperatures.
- All materials needed to create your candle, including wax, wicks, fragrance oils, jar and lid.
- A wide selection of fragrances to choose from
- Option to dye the wax if you’d like a coloured candle
- A worksheet to take notes and record your personalised scent blend.

- This class is open to everyone aged 18+
- No previous experience required
- Ideal for individuals, couples, and groups.
- A lot of people come solo, so if you’re thinking about booking on your own, chances are you won’t be the only one. Our teachers are warm, friendly, and always make sure solo guests feel welcome and supported.
- Everyone is welcome in our inclusive space.
- We recommend leaving your candle behind to set after the class to prevent surface imperfections. Moving it prematurely may affect its quality. If you must take your candle with you on the same day, please inform the teacher upon arrival. We’ll do our best to prioritise your wax pouring to allow for more setting time and provide tips on transporting it home.
- This class runs for 2 hours, if you’re driving, avoid 1P or 2P zones as we won’t be able to pause the class for you to move your car. Not sure where to park? Click here for our parking tips

Due to high demand and limited class sizes, all bookings are final and non-refundable. We’re happy to reschedule your booking as long as it meets the conditions below:
- Rescheduling with more than 7 days’ notice: free of charge
- Rescheduling with less than 7 days’ notice: $20 per person rescheduling fee
- Rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice: no reschedule or refund available
