Create a textured artwork on a canvas

Looking for a fun and creative way to unwind after your studies? Our Student Paint and Sip night in Sydney is the perfect weekday escape with your uni friends. Join fellow students for a fun evening of painting, sipping, and socialising.

Bring your favourite BYO drinks, and we’ll provide all the paint, tools and canvas for you to create your artwork.

Spaces are limited, so grab your friends and book your spot for a night of creativity and fun! Just remember to bring your valid student ID to show the teacher upon arrival.

Project: 12" x 16" Artwork on a Canvas

What you'll learn

Learn how to create an ombre background, fading the paint colours together for a good base.
Learn how to use a palette knife to create textured petal effects (or other designs).
Practice the technique first before applying them to the canvas.
We’ll take you through how to layer and make flowers, but it’s totally up to you what to paint
We’ll guide you through techniques for creating a polished, finished look

Acrylic paints, brushes and palette knives
Apron to wear during the class

Who can come

Our Student Paint and Sip class is open to everyone aged 18+ with a valid student ID card
No previous experience required
Ideal for individuals, couples, and groups.
A lot of people come solo, so if you’re thinking about booking on your own, chances are you won’t be the only one. Our teachers are warm, friendly, and always make sure solo guests feel welcome and supported.
Everyone is welcome in our inclusive space.

You will need a valid student ID to participate in this class.
Our Student Paint and Sip night is BYO drinks friendly
Acrylic paints stain fabric, so we recommend wearing something you don’t mind getting messy. Aprons are provided, but it’s always better to be safe.
All of our paints are made locally in Sydney by Global Colours
Your textured painting will take 1–3 days to fully dry, depending on the thickness of the texture.
You’re welcome to leave your artwork at the studio to dry and collect it another day, we’ll hold it for 30 days for you.
If you prefer to take it home straight after class, please handle it with care – and if you’re driving, we recommend bringing paper or plastic bags to line the boot of your car.
Our Textured Paint and Sip class runs for 2 hours, if you’re driving, avoid 1P or 2P zones as we won’t be able to pause the class for you to move your car. Not sure where to park? Click here for our parking tips.
