1. Booking Categories & Methods

We offer the following type of classes:

  • Public Group Classes
  • Private one-on-one Classes
  • Private Event Bookings (Hens Parties, Team Building, Birthdays etc)
  • On-Site Classes

2. Public Class Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

All bookings are final and non-refundable. You may reschedule under the below terms:

  • More than 7 days’ notice: Free to reschedule.
  • Less than 7 days’ notice: A rescheduling fee of $20-$50pp applies (charge specified on the class listing).
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: No rescheduling; 100% loss of booking.

If your booking is eligible for rescheduling, alternative dates/times will be offered. If none are suitable, the booking converts to a credit valid for 6 months from the purchase date. Expired credit will not be accepted as payment.

Please note: If you reschedule your booking and then later need to reschedule again, the same policy and fees will apply based on the notice period given before the newly scheduled date.

3. One-on-one Class Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

All bookings are final and non-refundable. You may reschedule under the below terms:

4. Hens, Birthdays & Baby Shower Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

All bookings are final and non-refundable. You may reschedule under the below terms:

  • Deposit is non-refundable.
  • More than 14 days’ notice: Free to reschedule.
  • Less than 14 days’ notice: Rescheduling fee of 20% of booking value.
  • Less than 7 days’ notice: 100% loss of booking.

If eligible for rescheduling, you may choose a new date (subject to availability) or receive a credit valid for 6 months.

If someone in your group is unable to attend after the final balance has been paid, we are unable to offer a refund. However, if you provide at least 24 hours’ notice, we’re happy to issue a credit for that individual. The group must still meet the 10-person minimum for this to apply.

Terms of the credit:

  • Valid for 6 months
  • Can be used toward any of our public classes
  • Must be redeemed directly through our own website
  • Is not redeemable for cash, and is non-transferable

Confirmed Booking Dates:
Once a date has been confirmed by the client and payment has been made, the booking is final. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have provided the correct date before confirming the booking. If a mistake is made by the client, the standard rescheduling policy above will apply.

We are not responsible for scheduling errors made by the client, and refunds will not be issued in such cases.

5. In-Studio Team Building Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

All bookings are final and non-refundable. You may reschedule under the below terms:

  • Deposit is non-refundable.
  • More than 14 days’ notice: Free to reschedule.
  • Less than 14 days’ notice: Rescheduling fee of 20% of booking value.
  • Less than 7 days’ notice: 100% loss of booking.

If eligible for rescheduling, you may choose a new date (subject to availability) or receive a credit valid for 6 months.

If any members of your team are unable to attend after the final balance has been paid, we are unable to offer a refund. However, if you provide at least 24 hours’ notice, we’re happy to offer a credit to the company for any participants over the 10-person minimum.

This credit:

  • Is valid for 6 months
  • Is linked to the company, not an individual
  • The future booking will need to meet our minimum charge equivalent of 10 people participating.
  • The credit will be deducted for any participants booked over the minimum of 10.
    For example, if the future class is $75 per person, the credit will cover the 11th person.
  • Must be redeemed by emailing us
  • Is not redeemable for cash, and is non-transferable

  • Less than 30 days’ notice: Rescheduling fee of 20% of booking value.
  • Less than 14 days’ notice: 100% loss of booking.

If eligible for rescheduling, you may choose a new date (subject to availability) or receive a credit valid for 6 months.

If any participants are unable to attend after the final balance has been paid, we are unable to offer a refund. However, if you provide at least 24 hours’ notice, we’re happy to offer a credit to the company for any participants over the minimum charge.

This credit:

  • Is valid for 6 months

7. Payment Terms

Public Group & One-on-one Classes

Full payment required upfront.

Private Events (e.g. Hens, Birthdays, Baby Showers etc)

A non-refundable deposit at time of booking, deposit amount will depend on the number of people attending. Final numbers must be submitted no later than 15 days before event date. Balance due 14 days before the event. If the balance is not paid on time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking with loss of deposit.

In-studio Team Building Events

A non-refundable deposit at time of booking, deposit amount will depend on the number of people attending. Final numbers must be submitted no later than 8 days before the event date. Final balance due 7 days before the event date. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking with loss of deposit. Late payments that do not clear before the event date may result in event cancellation.

On-site Events

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Final numbers must be confirmed no later than 15 days prior to the event. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event date, with the deposit amount deducted from the final total.

If the final payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit. Late payments that do not clear prior to the event may result in cancellation.

8. Rescheduling Fees & Deadlines

Rescheduling fees must be paid at the time of rescheduling. A new booking date will only be confirmed once payment is received. If the rescheduling fee is unpaid, the booking will not be moved, and the original date remains in effect. Failure to attend a rescheduled date without prior notice will result in a full loss of booking.

All rescheduled bookings remain subject to the same rescheduling and cancellation policies. If you need to reschedule again, applicable fees and notice periods will apply based on the new scheduled date.

9. Our Right to Cancel

We reserve the right to cancel a class or event for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Minimum participant numbers not met. If not met, we will contact attendees 24 – 48 hours prior to reschedule or issue a refund.
  • Instructor illness or unavailability
  • Venue-related issues (e.g. power outage)
  • Other unforeseen circumstances

10. Third-Party Bookings

If you booked through a third-party platform, any booking issues must be resolved directly with the third-party booking support team. We are not responsible for errors or missing information in third-party confirmations.

11. Accessibility

Our venue is not wheelchair accessible due to steps and narrow spaces. We are also unable to accommodate walkers or mobility aids due to space constraints.

12. Late Arrivals & No-Shows

  • Up to 15 minutes late: instructor discretion.
  • Over 15 minutes late: no entry, no refund or rescheduling options.
  • No-shows: 100% loss of booking.

13. Alcohol & Conduct

  • Respectful conduct is expected. We may refuse entry or remove disruptive guests with no refund/reschedule.
  • Alcohol permitted only where stated. BYO not allowed unless specified.

14. Transferring Bookings

You may transfer your booking to a friend/family member at no cost. Please notify us of any name changes.

15. Gift Cards

  • Non-refundable after purchase.
  • Valid for 3 years from purchase.
  • Redeemable via website, phone or email.
  • Cannot be extended after expiry.
  • If purchase exceeds balance, difference must be paid separately.
  • Not redeemable for cash.

16. Purchasing a Sewing Machine

Collection

If we are ordering the machine for you, we will contact you when the machine is ready for pickup.

Warranty

1-year on mechanical parts, 5-year on computerised components. Misuse may void warranty.

Servicing

  • Every 6 months (heavy use)
  • Every 12 months (standard use)

$50 Class Credit Offer

When you purchase a machine through us, you’ll be given a $50 credit to spend on a future group sewing class. This credit is valid 3 months and must be booked before the expiry date. It is non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash or gift card.

17. Lost or Damaged Personal Items & Uncollected Projects

  • We are not responsible for lost/stolen/damaged items.
  • Items left behind must be collected within 30 days or they will be donated.
  • No refunds or re-doing of classes will be provided for donated projects.
  • Leaving items behind is at your own risk.

18. Bringing Your Own Sewing Machine/Overlocker

  • Not allowed in Sewing for Beginners.
  • For other classes: the machine must be brand new (within 12 months) or serviced in the last 12 months.
  • We are not liable for damage caused to your machine in our sessions.
  • Bring all parts. Missing items may require use of a studio machine.
  • Machines must be taken home after class.

19. Discontinued Classes

We reserve the right to discontinue classes without notice. If a class is discontinued, existing bookings or gift cards will be converted to credit that can be spent on any of our other classes.

20. Booking on Behalf of Someone Else

You are responsible for ensuring they read and agree to these terms.

21. Photography & Media Usage

Photos and videos may be taken during classes for promotional use. Notify us ahead of time or inform your instructor if you wish to opt out.

22. CCTV & Security Monitoring

Our venue is monitored by CCTV for safety. By attending, you consent to being recorded. Footage is not shared unless required by law.

23. Force Majeure

In cases of natural disaster, pandemics, or restrictions, classes may be rescheduled or cancelled. Refunds will not be provided. Participants will receive a credit valid for 6 months or be offered new dates.

24. Liability & Disclaimers

  • Participation is at your own risk.
  • Follow all safety and instructor guidelines.
  • We are not liable for injuries, damages or loss of property.
