Create a textured artwork on a canvas
Looking for a fun and creative way to unwind after classes? Our Student Night Paint & Sip is the perfect mid-week escape. Join fellow students for a relaxed evening of painting, sipping, and socialising.
Bring your favourite drink (our studio is fully BYO), and we’ll provide all the materials you need. Just remember to bring your valid student ID to show upon arrival.
Spaces are limited, so grab your friends and book your spot for a night of creativity and fun!
Project: 12" x 16" Artwork on a Canvas
What you'll learn
- Learn how to use a palette knife to create textured petal effects (or other designs).
- Practice your petal shapes first, before applying them to the canvas.
- We’ll take you through how to layer and make flowers, but it’s totally up to you what to paint
- Techniques for creating a polished, finished look
- A 12″ x 16″ Canvas
- Acrylic paints, brushes and palette knives
- Apron to wear during the class
- A wide range of paint colours to choose from
- Fun, supportive vibe and guidance throughout
- BYO drinks welcome; glassware provided.
- Complimentary tea, coffee, water, and cookies
- This class is open to everyone aged 18+ with a valid student ID card
- No previous experience required
- Ideal for individuals, couples, and groups.
- A lot of people come solo, so if you’re thinking about booking on your own, chances are you won’t be the only one. Our teachers are warm, friendly, and always make sure solo guests feel welcome and supported.
- We welcome all genders and identities in our inclusive space.
- Acrylic paints stain fabric, so we recommend wearing something you don’t mind getting messy. Aprons are provided, but it’s always better to be safe!
- If you paint with acrylics only, your pot may be semi-dry by the end of the session.
- If you use texture paste, your canvas will need 1–3 days to fully dry, depending on the thickness.
- You’re welcome to leave your canvas at the studio to dry and collect it another day, or carefully take it home after class. If you’re driving, we recommend bringing a box, paper bags or similar to protect your car.
- This class runs for 2 hours, if you’re driving, avoid 1P or 2P zones as we won’t be able to pause the class for you to move your car. Not sure where to park? Click here for our parking tips

Due to high demand and limited class sizes, all bookings are final and non-refundable. We’re happy to reschedule your booking as long as it meets the conditions below:
- Rescheduling with more than 7 days’ notice: free of charge
- Rescheduling with less than 7 days’ notice: $20 per person rescheduling fee
- Rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice: no reschedule or refund available

My friends and I went for the textured painting class celebrating my birthday, we had such an amazing time! It was the first time we all tried this class and it was so worth it! Dani was our teacher, she did amazing and was very helpful and patient with us! The place is easy to get to, 4 mins walk from Redfern station. All painting materials were provided, plus tea & coffe and some snacks. You can bring your own drinks also. Fun experience, i would definitely do it again!
